1. Introduction

Our school started to provide email service in 1998, in January 2015, the whole school email system was migrated to Tencent Enterprise Mail, and in July 2019 the email system function was optimised to interface with the data centre. Teachers and students at school can apply for free use of the school email service.

2.Login

Method 1, Digital North Outbound Binding and use it directly (see Figure 8-1);

Method 2, visit the e-mail login page at mail.bfsu.edu.cn (see Figure 8-2);

Method 3, the official homepage of the school in Chinese www.bfsu.edu.cn点击 "Beiwai Mailbox" link (see Figure 8-3)

Method 4: Follow WeChat public number "Tencent Enterprise Mail" (see Figure 8-4);

Method 5, visit https://exmail.qq.com/login (see Figure 8-5), and enter the full email address for the account.

3. Email registration

After applying for mailbox opening in the One-Stop Service Hall, new faculty and staff need to register themselves by clicking "Register" on the page of mail.bfsu.edu.cn, and inputting your correct job number, ID card number, and password in accordance with the rules. (See Figure 8-5/8-6). After activating your mailbox, you can register as an alias.

Email registration is activated successfully and the email can be logged in immediately after the alias account is registered.

4. WeChat binding and WeChat reminder

After binding WeChat, you need to authenticate twice when logging in mailbox, which can improve the security of mailbox. You will be able to use the "WeChat Reminder" function of enterprise mailbox.

Binding method: After logging in mailbox, choose "Settings"-"Reminder Service"-"WeChat Reminder", click "Bind WeChat". Click "Bind WeChat". A QR code will be displayed on the page. At this time, open WeChat and scan the QR code with the function of "Sweep". (See Figure 8-7)

After successful scanning, WeChat will prompt "Confirm binding enterprise mailbox?". Click "Confirm" to complete the binding. (See Figure 8-8)

5. Mail client setting method

POP3/SMTP protocol

Incoming mail server: pop.bfsu.edu.cn (port 110), using SSL, port number 995

Outgoing mail server: smtp.bfsu.edu.cn (port 25), using SSL, port 465

IMAP protocol

Incoming mail server: imap.bfsu.edu.cn (port 143), using SSL, port number 993

Outgoing mail server: smtp.bfsu.edu.cn (port 25), using SSL, port 465

6.Retrieve your password through your secret mailbox

First of all, you need to set the secret mailbox, you can set or modify it in "Settings"-"Account" after logging in the mailbox. In order to protect the security of mailbox, we suggest you set up the secret mailbox at the first time. (See Figure 8-9)

If you have forgotten your password, click on "Forgot Password" to reset your password when logging in.

Enter your account number and corresponding secret mailbox, the system will send an email to the secret mailbox. According to the guidance of the email, you will be able to reset the password of your mailbox.
