1. Introduction
WebVPN provides web-based access control for intranet applications, allowing authorised users to access web applications that are open only to the intranet. Using this technology, teachers and students who are outside the campus can access the open web resources within the campus network just like on-campus network users. Currently, the open web resources include Mobile Library, Digital Beiwai, Blackboard Teaching Aid Platform and so on.
There are two conditions for a user to use the WebVPN service: firstly, the user has access to the Internet; and secondly, he/she has a unified identity on campus.
2. Usage
Visit https://webvpn.bfsu.edu.cn ; or implement a jump to use the off-campus access channel at the Digital North Library (see Figure 5-1).
